okay, i tried to use windows movie maker. but i think it has an issue with coding or something from videos shot with my sony DCR-SR 40. whenever i try and import a video. it will say that theres been an error. etc.
anyways i ran across software called Tiny visual photo total video converter 3.0 and it looks awesome has what i need and apparently alot more. except for adequate instructions on how to use it. but i did what i could, and got "something" but it says when i try and play it, the video will not play cause it is not supported by something, can't recall what, anyways all i'm trying to do is to compress my videos so that they are under the 100 MB youtube/myspace limit, convert to mpeg4 (Divx, Xvid) format at 320x240 resolution with MP3 auto, at 30 frames per second!!!
and for the life of me this has turned out to be one hellish task. could someone PLEASE share with me how one might address this matter?

First of all version 3.0 is a beta version so it may not have all the bugs worked out yet....secondly what you are going to need to do is to convert your video to a .flv file, you may not have a player that supports flv but thats generally what the videos on youtube are....convert it then upload it, then try playing it from the youtube location.....if it plays, your done, if not you may have to edit the video as well to get the frame rate and size just right. I use Nero and I also have the full version of Macromedia Flash and have used both to convert, edit, and compress files in several formats.....have not used your program so I cannot give you any further instructs but good luck.

This problem also annoyed me when i was using nero6. I think the problem is the codec convertions (xvid without divx etc).I solved this problems by using other converters like the Video Editor..
