I think you should try and spill whatever emotions you have for the kid and just let your heart to all the talking, don't scare him, just tell him things like: what exactly you like about him and how long you have liked him blah blah blah. and don't message people and say things like I have to ask you a question, its kinda sketchy, just tell him from the first message or include at the introduction "I am not sure If I am ready to say this" or "I feel afraid to let all of this out so soon but I feel that you should know..." okay?

(assuming you mean you have a thing for him/if not just use this for future reference, I don't want my advice to be completely useless.)
